More developers are experimenting with AI to give NPCs more varied conversations and reactions. In theory, it could make game worlds feel more dynamic, with characters responding differently to each player. But some players feel that AI dialogue can sound repetitive, unnatural, or simply lack the personality of carefully written characters. As this technology becomes more accessible, the debate around its place in games is only growing.
