A lot of beginners think poker is all about the cards.

You see who checked, who bet, who looked confident, and who suddenly slowed down. Every action before yours helps narrow down what your opponents might be holding.

Playing from early position is a completely different story.

You have to act first without knowing what everyone else plans to do. Even a decent hand becomes harder to play when several players still have decisions behind you.
