You tried it at a friend’s house after school, got one turn before someone grabbed the controller back, and still thought about it for weeks. That was the magic of childhood gaming: no wishlist, no reviews, just one console with one game you didn’t have that caused a painful ride home knowing you had to go back to your own collection that is not going to become wider any soon. Maybe it was a fighting game, a racing game, a huge RPG or some weird title that only one kid in your neighborhood had 👀 You didn’t finish it and you barely played it, but somehow it stayed legendary.
