Did a Hack Ever Actually Change Where You Keep Your Funds?

A major exchange gets hacked, and for a week everyone swears they're switching to self-custody. Some people actually do it.
Others plan to and never get around to it.

If you moved your funds off exchanges after a hack — did that decision ever actually matter, or was it just extra hassle for no real benefit?
If you didn't move anything — are you still fine with that choice, or did it end up biting you?

What actually happened to you? 👇
