Bank-Backed Stablecoins: Trust Upgrade or Missing the Point?

Banks are getting into stablecoins now — backed reserves, regulatory oversight, the whole compliance package. If a bank goes under, there's a clearer paper trail and legal recourse than most crypto-native stablecoins ever offered. That's the pitch.

But that same oversight means a bank, or a regulator, can freeze your funds, reverse a transaction, or shut the whole thing down if they decide to.

The entire reason stablecoins exist outside traditional finance was to avoid exactly that.

How do you feel about it? 👇

Feels like banks are trying to put crypto back inside the system it was made to escape lol

Depends what you want from a stablecoin really
